Wishing You a Happy Ramadan Kareem 2018



Ramadan Kareem is an Islamic month in which Muslims observe fasting for 29-30 days. A month that makes it possible to relate to less fortunate that spend their lives with very fewer resources. A month that truly refreshes our body for the year ahead. Apart from striving to gain forgiveness of the Almighty and the bonus reward (times 70) against each good deed, we have a beautiful day of Eid to look forward to.
This month is about sharing and caring. It’s about understanding how we can each play our part by doing small and wonderful acts of charity. Esajee’s celebrates this beautiful holy month by encouraging charity and giving out few useful tips on spending this holy month.
Since its summer, fasting periods will be longer and hotter and will require everyone to be careful of the heat and dehydration. Make sure you don’t instantly consume too much water after Iftar as it might make you feel uncomfortable. Remember to take it slow and complete your daily intake requirement till next Sehr. Carry an umbrella with you during hours of sunshine and cover your head from direct heat. Have fruits that are rich in water content and can help regain energy. Take care of your enthusiastic kids as they fast and remember to have them try different juices or smoothies after iftar.

Manage your sleep hours in a way that helps you contain energy for the times of Ibadah.  You can take small naps in the afternoon after Zuhr and don’t stay up at night purposelessly. Keep your focus on gaining as many blessings as possible.
